What's new with the Boosters




While every graduation ceremony at Genesis is truly inspiring, this year marked several new milestones.




  • Last week 43 seniors received their high school diplomas. This is a school record.

  • The Genesis Boosters organized three Teacher Appreciation Events this past year.... a first in Genesis City's 20 year history. Kudos to Tracy Goble for organizing these festivities and many, many thank yous to all the volunteers who brought egg casserole dishes, snacks, salads, bagels and much more. The teachers and staff all loved the end-of-year summer themed party complete with gift bags for all. See their smiling faces in the photo above!

  • More than 50 new volunteers for Genesis City were recruited at several Booster social events, including an entertaining evening learning the fine art of pairing wine with truffles. Special thanks to Jennifer Mannino, Rebeccah Sotelo and Pat Welborn for hosting these enjoyable evenings.

  • Funds from the Booster Club supported the "pie-in-your-face" teacher roasting at Unity Day. The students gathered an amazing 700 cans of food for the United Food Bank.

  • Prom was a huge success. Boosters donated food and beverages and Suzanne Parelman had the creative idea to donate credit at My Sister's Closet so that six students could purchase prom dresses.

  • Through gift cards and donations, the Boosters raised funds to provide dorm supplies and computers to Genesis graduates moving on to post-secondary education.

Booster Volunteer Form


Volunteers bring in lunches, special treats, and snacks to show our appreciation to the Genesis staff and teachers for their hard work.


Volunteers help generate backpacks, school supplies, and dorm supplies for current Genesis students and Genesis' first generation college bound graduates.


Volunteers are needed to work with Genesis students to help them with fundraising, decorations and event planning for the Graduates Dinner and the Spring Prom.
