Genesis Academy
Through discipline and positive encouragement Genesis Academy strives to improve the minds and attitudes of young scholars by providing a comprehensive approach to education. The Genesis curriculum focuses on attainment of a high school diploma, participation in community service activities, and planning for life after high school. Staff and teachers recognize that not all students learn in the same way, which is why we have implemented an individualized approach to education.

Flex-Class Program
Many Genesis City participants are pregnant, work jobs, or have a young family and, consequently, are not able to manage a full-time high school schedule. The Flex-Class Program offers high school coursework to current and re-entry students who can only manage a part-time schedule. The program also acts as a dropout intervention program and allows participants to remain engaged in education.

The Flex Class Program includes:
  • Directed studies
  • Individualized instruction
  • Community College courses
  • Acceleration

Fine Arts and World Cultures Program
The Fine Arts and World Cultures Program includes courses in foreign language, art history, dance, music, drama and studio art. Genesis staff view fine arts education as a means to expand each participant's world view and provide an opportunity to tap into each individual's creative talents. The Genesis City campus is close to several of the Valley's finest cultural institutions such as the Phoenix Art Museum, the Heard Museum, and the Phoenix Theater.
