Due to the state's poor economic climate, many of our families are finding it difficult to purchase even the most basic school supplies for their children. That is why we are organizing a fall backpack drive in order to assure that every Genesis student starts the year with an equal opportunity to learn. Your backpack donation will provide real hope and encouragement for kids who are motivated to better their lives through the power of education.
Please help by making a donation. A gift of $15.00 will allow us to purchase one backpack with all of the necessary school supplies. We encourage you to consider sponsoring more than one backpack.

Genesis City, received 100 pairs of new Converse shoes from the Lincoln Family Downtown YMCA on January 22, 2010. The shoes will be given to the disenfranchised youth that receive services at Genesis City.
