Genesis City Honored with the Arizona InterFaith Movement’s Golden Rule Education Award

Arizona InterFaith Movement warmly and enthusiastically invited families, friends and the community to its 10th Annual Golden Rule Awards Banquet. The Golden Rule celebration honored five individuals or organizations Arizona InterFaith Movement believes are exemplifying the Golden Rule, a universal principle contained in most faith traditions and many secular codes of ethics. Genesis City and Karen Callahan were honored with the 2015 Golden Rule Education Award. The event was held at the Mesa Convention Center on Thursday, April 16, 2015.

2015 Golden Rule Honorees:
Darl Andersen Award: Jimmy Walker
Religious Award: Pastor Tommy Barnett
Education Award: Genesis City, Karen Callahan
Humanitarian Award: Circle the City, Sister Adele O’Sullivan
Peace Award: Rana Singh Sodhi

The State of Arizona offers all residents the opportunity to support Genesis Academy through the Arizona Public School Tax Credit program. Every taxpayer can allocate up to $200 (single) or $400 (married couples) of their tax dollars to an Arizona public school for extracurricular activities and character education programs. The donation must be received by Genesis Academy by April, 2019. You will receive a dollar-for-dollar tax credit from your Arizona State Income Tax. Your dollars support extracurricular activities and character education programs including: Los Literati Book Club, Genesis Aztecs Basketball Program, Fine Arts Program, and the Student Civic Engagement Program.
